Har Shalom Center for Jewish Living is an active center of Jewish learning, celebrating, worship and community in Northern Colorado. Har Shalom is an intentionally unaffiliated synagogue representing the varied backgrounds, affiliations and geographic origins of its members. We strive to blend the wisdom of various branches of Judaism in an accessible and meaningful manner and aim to be a Jewish home for all Jews in Northern Colorado.

All Jews are welcome and invited to become members of the Har Shalom community including Jews by birth and Jews by choice, Jews in mixed marriages and couples who are both Jewish, Jews of varying ability levels and Jews of all races, gender identities, sexual orientations.

Har Shalom is always open to new members and we would love to have you join us. For more information please contact our New Member Welcoming Committee chair by email at membership@nocoharshalom.org.

Membership Information

As a member, you are encouraged to contribute according to your financial ability. That is the essence of tzedakah––justice and righteousness––as our tradition teaches. Based on the number of member families and the total operational budget of Har Shalom, we estimate the cost to run the synagogue to be approximately $1,800 per member family per year. Membership dues are the primary way that we keep the lights on, care for our building, pay our Rabbi and professional staff and support our youth and adult education programs.

That being said, we know that membership is a financial commitment and we want you to contribute an amount that feels comfortable to you. We welcome members with all levels of financial contributions and no one is ever turned away due to inability to pay. Don’t see a level that works for you? Just reach out to our Executive Director for a confidential conversation to discuss a plan that works for you.
